Good news for Windows users!

Here is some good news for Windows users who are interested in PyPedal: the new version of Python - Enthought Edition includes all of the dependeicies for PyPedal with the exception of ReportLab. The download is a little bulky at 124 MB, but I think the convenience is worth it. Hopefully I'll have a chance to do a clean install on a Windows box and test it this weekend..

The Goole-fication of PyPedal

Now that Google Code is available I'm ditching Sourceforge as the host for PyPedal. I'm also moving the PyPedal blog from Funjackals to Blogger so that people don't have to wade through my personal blog to find information about the program. Sure, I could setup a second Moveable Type installation and run two blogs on the same site, but I'm too lazy to do that. I'm going all-Google for this one. As of today, August 3 2006, This PyPedal Blog is the canonical source for information about PyPedal. I'm going to migrate the material from Funjackals to here and Google Code; once that's done, I'll take it offline at the other site. The Sourceforge site will remain online, and I'll probably upload tarballs there, but the source, bug/feature request database, and discussion groups will live at Google.

That is all.
